How to work successfully as a supplier with the data-driven business model of e-commerce market leader Amazon was the subject of another online workshop on the Global DIY Network. Andrew Pearl, vice-president of insights for EMEA at service provider Profitero, spoke as an expert on the topic of "Playing the Algorithm: How DIY and home improvement brands can win search on Amazon". He focused on the importance of getting onto page 1 of the product search and of identifying and using the relevant keywords to this end. Pearl backed this up with figures, and strongly advised paying attention to the right content, above all with videos and images.
