Strong quarter for the Swiss DIY trade

Swiss DIY stores grew in the third quarter compared to the same period last year by 15.8 per cent to sales of around CHF 940 mio (EUR 870 mio). In Switzerland, the product group "other" grew in the three-quarterly comparison by 29.3 per cent. Also well ahead: classic construction elements (plus 16.1 per cent) and garden equipment (16.0 per cent). Four assortment ranges showed negative rates; at -5.5 per cent, the automotive assortment performed the worst.
