Back at Kingfisher as chief customer & digital officer


Jean-Jacques Van Oosten is the new chief customer & digital officer at Kingfisher. He joins from Danish toy company Lego where he was most recently chief digital officer. The appointment marks Van Oosten's return to the home improvement company, where he worked as IT director from 2005 to 2008. At Lego, he advanced the company's digital ambition to make e-commerce the largest part of its business, according to a press release published by Kingfisher. Prior to that, Van Oosten was employed in the retail and home improvement sectors including previous roles at Rewe, Travis Perkins and Tesco. Van Oosten, who abbreviates his first names simply to JJ, is a Belgian national who speaks fluent English, French and German. He will be a member of the group executive team.
