Clas Ohlson to retain one store in Britain


In spite of its withdrawal from Great Britain, Swedish retailer Clas Ohlson intends to retain one high street outlet there. A report by the British industry service diy week, quoting the UK country manager Jon Peacock, states that the store in Reading, roughly 50 km west of London, will continue trading.  The report adds that Clas Ohlson's e-commerce operations in Germany and possibly other European countries will be directed from Great Britain in future. According to the company that confirmed the report the Reading store will serve as a logistic hub for these operations.
