The Swedish retailer Clas Ohlson saw growth in sales in December of nine per cent compared with the same month in the previous year. Like-for-like sales increased by four per cent. The good growth rates, rising into double figures in Norway and Finland, offset a decline in Great Britain in particular, where the company is currently streamlining its store portfolio. In the first eight months of the company's fiscal 2016/2017 from May to December, the company's sales amounted to SEK 5.838 bn, five per cent more (for like-for-like sales also) than in the same period in 2015.
